There's something special about traveling Route 66 on a bike. The bridge ahead to the right goes over the BNSF tracks before the road turns to the left to go to Essex, seen in the distance. On the other side of the bridge, roughly straight ahead, the pre-1931 alignment (Goffs Road) joins this road, the 1931 alignment (National Trails Highway).
