The two abiding memories of my trip to India 3 years ago are of the dignity of people who have absolutely nothing, and of the joy that the simplest things can bring to people.

Here one of our party have just given 5 Indian boys a brand new tennis ball with which to play cricket - the joy on their faces was indescribable.
If you are ever visiting India take three things with you - a supply of tennis balls, ball point pens and writing paper. Indian children are desperate to get a good education and will take pen and paper in preference to sweets if given the choice!
