View On Black. The mountain huts in Switzerland are awesome. Not only do you get to enjoy views like this, but you also get a comfortable bed to sleep in, really good food (beer and wine included of course), and, at some, even hot showers. Europahütte, being one of the newer huts built, completely spoiled me with its high tech marvels of Swiss engineering.
The bright pyramid shaped peak is the Weisshorn and the town down below is Randa. You can see Zermatt and the head of the Mattertal valley in the distance. (Taken during a trekking tour of the Mattertal in Valais, Switzerland, Summer 2009)

The Matter Valley (German: Mattertal) is located in southwestern Switzerland, south of the Rhone valley in the canton of Valais. The village of Zermatt is the most important settlement of the valley, which is surrounded by many four-thousanders, including the Matterhorn.
