Lake Poso (Indonesian: Danau Poso) is a lake in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, and the third-deepest lake in Indonesia. The lake contains various fish, including the eel Anguilla marmorata which migrates between the lake and the sea, and 11 fish species that are endemic to the lake, notably Adrianichthys, Mugilogobius sarasinorum, Nomorhamphus celebensis, Oryzias nebulosus, O. nigrimas, O. orthognathus and Weberogobius amadi, which are all highly threatened (in some cases possibly already extinct). There is also a large number of endemic Tylomelania freshwater snails in the lake, as well as several endemic Caridina shrimps and Parathelphusid crabs (genera Migmathelphusa, Parathelphusa and Sundathelphusa).

Central Sulawesi (Indonesian Sulawesi Tengah) is a province of Indonesia. It is located at the centre of the island of Sulawesi, and its capital and largest city is Palu. The 2010 census recorded a population of 2,633,420 for the province.

Established in 1964, Central Sulawesi has an area of 61,841.29 km² (23,877 sq mi). It is bordered by the provinces of Gorontalo to the north, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and South East Sulawesi to the south, by Maluku to the east, and by the Makassar Strait to the west.

Specular reflection is the mirror-like reflection of light (or of other kinds of wave) from a surface, in which light from a single incoming direction (a ray) is reflected into a single outgoing direction. Such behavior is described by the law of reflection, which states that the direction of incoming light (the incident ray), and the direction of outgoing light reflected (the reflected ray) make the same angle with respect to the surface normal, thus the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection ( in the figure), and that the incident, normal, and reflected directions are coplanar. This behavior was first discovered through careful observation and measurement by Hero of Alexandria (AD c. 10–70).

Stilt houses or pile dwellings or palafitte are houses raised on piles over the surface of the soil or a body of water. Stilt houses are built primarily as a protection against flooding, but also serve to keep out vermin. The shady space under the house can be used for work or storage.

Sulawesi (formerly known as Celebes /ˈsɛlɨbiːz/ or /sɨˈliːbiːz/) is an island in Indonesia. One of the four Greater Sunda Islands, and the world's eleventh-largest island, it is situated between Borneo and the Maluku Islands. In Indonesia, only Sumatra, Borneo, and Papua are larger in territory, and only Java and Sumatra have larger populations.
