Photography is a hobby of mine since many years, starting with a compact camera many years ago. It has become more intensive since getting into DSLR some 4 years ago. Before I had a second hand Fuji SLR (quite some years ago) and a Nikon. Now I have a Nikon D80.
Most of my photographs I take when travelling with the family (wife and three kids). Nowadays I photograph in raw format (NEF) and process using Nikons Capture NX2. Recently I've started to use Zoner Photo Studio.
The rest of the family uses various, compact digital cameras, sometimes with very nice results.
Recent years travels have lead us to France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Crete, Hungary, Tanzania and the USA.
I 'd like to add that to be very active in digital photography isn't always easy with a full time job, which for me is as a scientific researcher in a governmental research institute.
