I try to use care when selecting photos to upload to Fotopedia. I choose very few of the photos I take, and I choose photos that I think suit the article and don't replicate existing photos. I usually add descriptions and useful titles to a photo that I upload.

I don't have a lot of faith in the robustness of Fotopedia's points system, and I'm not particularly concerned with earning points. I'm more interested in having photos selected for magazines and Fotopedia apps.

If you are thinking of downvoting one of my photos, please contact me instead to point out why. I'll consider your point and usually take some action. If you just downvote it, I won't know whether you have a valid point, or are just being vindictive, gaming the system, or expressing subjective personal preference. So I won't remove it.
