About: I was born (nearly) 50 years ago in New York from an Indonesian father and a French mother. I was only a few weeks old when I boarded a plane for the first time to meet my French grand-parents and two years later my parents did not hesitate to take me with them for a first round the world trip. So as far as travelling is concerned I think you can say that I stared pretty early. I received my very first camera for my first communion, when I was 8 years old. It was a Kodak Instamatic in which you loaded a cartridge of B&W film. I still have some of those first pictures, stored away in a shoebox, but I don't think I'll be posting them on Fotopedia! ;o) After having lived 13 years in the United States, my family moved to Geneva and this is where I've been living since 1974. I took the Swiss nationality a few years ago and this is the place where I feel at home, near the mountains that have become a real passion. Since more than 20 years I enjoy ski-touring, rock climbing, mountaineering and travelling around the world to discover the mountains of our planet. What you'll find in my gallery is a collection of photos from my travels, my mountain climbs and expeditions and also from Geneva, my home town where I also like to walk around with my camera. |
