Pinus mugo (common namemountain pine, also known as dwarf mountain pine, scrub mountain pine, Swiss mountain pine, or mugo pine) is a species of conifer, native to high places in Central Europe.
Pines are trees in the genusPinus/ˈpiːnɪs/, in the familyPinaceae. They are the only genus in the subfamilyPinoideae. There are about 115 species of pine, although different authorities accept between 105 and 125 species.
