Recoleta, Buenos Aires

Recoleta is a downtown residential neighborhood in the city of Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina; it is an area of great historical and architectural interest, principally because the Recoleta Cemetery is located there. It is also an important tourist destination and cultural center of the city.

It is also considered one of the more affluent neighborhoods, and the cost per square meter of real estate is one of the highest in the city.

The Recoleta is accessible by the “D Line” of the Buenos Aires Subway, which passes through the neighborhood.

Bell tower

A bell tower is a tower which contains one or more bells, or which is designed to hold bells, even if it has none. In the European tradition, such a tower most commonly serves as part of a church and contains church bells. Modern bell towers often contain carillons.

The Italian term Campanile (/ˌkæmpəˈniːliː/; Italian pronunciation: [kampaˈniːle]), deriving from the word 'campana' meaning bell, is synonymous with 'bell tower'; in American English it tends to be used to refer to free standing bell towers.
